Has it ever happened to you that no matter how good or stable things seem on the outside, inside you feel that something is missing? That you deserve something better? Or simply that you are not on the road you should be on?

The story I will tell you next is the journey from "it would be good to...", "I would like to..." "I should..." to: "Now I act!" Now I'm changing my life and that of others through what I know best: eCommerce and online business".

During this journey I understood that although there are many ways to earn money, there are only some in which passion and skills create that balance between fulfillment, continuous evolution, material success, freedom and contribution to a better world. It is the duty of each of us to find our own authenticity and to define our success in our own terms. 

Traveler through the world of multinationals

Of all these paths, multinational life was the most challenging. I met extraordinary people in this environment, and 2 of them particularly inspired me: a Swiss and a Romanian. I learned a lot of business and discipline from Marc, the Swiss. But the Romanian, Laurentiu, remained in my soul because of his way of being and thinking.

But after a while I was only thinking how to escape from the world of multinationals. I was trying to get out of that vicious circle. But the biggest obstacle was precisely the good that I had become accustomed to: the nice salary that comes every month on the card and the company car.

The AHA moment

One day, however, the phone rang. It was Calin, the commercial director of a company in Sibiu. He asked me to recommend him a good eCommerce consultant. I recommended Cris, a Brit from whom I had learned what it means to do professional eCommerce.

From one to another, I told Calin, with great passion, about what and how to make an eCommerce project that works from the first. He liked my enthusiasm and how much I knew about online business. Suddenly I ask myself: But you couldn't offer us consultancy?

That was my AHA moment.

My card failed. This is what I actually want to do. To help others to do what I know best: online business, eCommerce. It was the moment when something changed in me. I went from "it would be good to...", "I would like to..." "I should..." to: "Now I do! Now I'm changing my life!"

I went on many roads, but after a certain period the same scenario repeated itself: I started with enthusiasm, then I hit "dead ends" that generated frustration. For once I knew that this was my path.

And that's how it all started! With a decision.

During the week I worked at the multinational and on the weekend I went to Sibiu and helped a Romanian company to start the business through eCommerce. It didn't take long until I told my wife that I wanted to resign and go on my own.

He suggested me to think about the family's priorities and our two children who were small and needed stability and predictability in the family. Either entrepreneurship brings you neither one nor the other, at least not from the very beginning.

In the end, I understood that my wife's approach was intelligent. It made me mobilize, to go on this road without looking back. Entirely. Otherwise it wouldn't have worked out for me. And then I proposed an agreement. If I sign another firm contract, to help another company to launch its online store, then I really resign and put all my energy into the new path. That's what I did. 

 

Since then, I offer consulting and training to entrepreneurs and company managers. I chose to focus exclusively on what I know how to do best (and I like the most): eCommerce Business and Digital Transformation.

The transition to the new road

It was not easy to move from the corporation to my own business. But something changed in me then, at the moment of the decision. I understood who I am and how to make myself feel fulfilled, while contributing to the fulfillment of others. 

It wasn't just about entrepreneurship. Not. It was about me as a person. About the freedom to decide what you want to do, and to assume the consequences. I could not have done this without the people who helped and guided me. Whether they taught me business, whether they gave me a kind word when I was disappointed, or they encouraged me when I had lost hope. Without them I could not have taken these steps.

So I decided to use all the know-how I have accumulated to create courses and training programs. At first there were classes in the classroom, then on Skype and Zoom.
